Air Filtration & Purification

The one-inch filter in your return is there to protect the equipment, not to clean your air. It catches large particles and very little else. If dust, dander or pollen are a real problem in your house, a media filter or an electronic air cleaner installed at the air handler does a different job entirely.

Whatever gets installed has to match what the equipment can push. A dense filter on a system with marginal return capacity restricts airflow, and restricted airflow causes its own failures. We measure static pressure before recommending anything, which is the step that gets skipped.
